    Dearest Julia,

How blessed we are to be in a community of the observant. For most of human history textiles were labor intensive to make and they were the art of what one saw on a daily basis . Textiles were prized. Thank you for preserving and restoring these precious items.

      Hi Ann Marie,

What a lovely message to Julia. Just want to say hi and hope all is well. Jon and I are fine here in California. Great that we have Julia Brennan in common (and probably many other people). She and her studio do an amazing job on everything they conserve. If you can’t see my email address, please ask Julia as she has it.

Take care and let’s be in touch more regularly too,
Dale and regards from Jon too

    Dear Julia,

You and your team have done remarkable work yet again. The pieces are beautiful and how wonderful to bring them back to “life” for future generations. I have only one comment: the last “Baby’s Dress” is a Christening Robe I am quite certain, having seen many of them over the years in various museum collections, including when I was at LACMA. The transformation of these delicate items (miracles of survival all) is astonishing and you and your team are to be commended.

Wishing you all the very best,
    Dale

As always your work makes us all aware of the need to check our storage areas for overlooked treasures that can be brought back to life by skilled hands.
    Happy Spring,

Bravo! Lovely to see these old pieces restored. Do you know more about their histories? Age and where they were made?

It is always exciting to see what you and your crew have done with fabrics. I am sure you will be remembered for the fabulous restoration work that you do, and I personally find it incredible that you have the ability to use your own talents to this end. Thanks again for your ability and incite into the world of textiles. Great job!
